Hunting
There is no shortage of game in the Peace. Sportsmen come from all over the world to hunt ducks and geese on the region’s wetlands. The area abounds in deer, elk and moose.
The Peace Country also produces world-class trophies. More information on world-class trophies is available on the Boone & Crockett website at: http://www.boone-crockett.org/.
Information on Alberta game records is available from the Alberta Outdoorsmen website at http://www.albertaoutdoorsmen.ca/.
Fishing
The Peace Country offers great fishing in its numerous lakes and rivers. The most common fish available in this area are Northern Pike (Jackfish), Walleye, Yellow Perch, Lake Trout, Arctic Grayling and Lake Whitefish.
Many of the lakes and rivers are reachable by vehicle, while others are accessible by all-terrain vehicles (ATV's). The provincial Fish and Wildlife Department carefully manages the licensing and 'catch and release' practices of fishers.
